This fic was an o/s done as a contest entry for: Moon from Venus_fiction's Apple a Day challenge. It is a short piece that is full of mystery. I love  how she took the characters and made you actually see into their minds. No names being mention in my opinion is the best way to go in this one. It helps add to  the allure and the underlying presence of danger. The dark one, Carlisle never seeing his name but knowing its him made my skin crawl. It is a fascinating way to write and again very captivating.

“”The man inside the man is nearly sick at his own arousal to this; but the demon in control doesn't hear as he grins into the kiss—or assault, depending on the point of view, but he didn't mind that. His fingers were splaying, feeling every warm centimeter of her lower parts; his pinkie finger just touching her navel, his thumb brushing the part of her he was after. And his ring finger on the part of her he wanted so to taste, touch—but of course the ring finger is no longer called that, being that its counterpart lay glinting gold in the grass, forgotten.”

*shivers* Okay this is what I mean people, you know it’s there, you can feel it, you can hear it... but you don’t at the same time. *laughs* It is very decriptive, which honestly is what more people need to pay attention too. They make their fics wordy but have no back bone. Take mine as a certain person tells me (SweetT129 *smirks*) I have a problem with rambling on and on about the details, but the detail are what catch your attention.

So the randomness of this fic overwhelms me.... Yes as you know I am very random but this one fascinates me. IDK its just a great way of writing and conveying a story. This is a must read. Short, sweet and totally fucking awesome.

Carlisle is not the main character in this bdsm fic - Bella and Edward are, but it would be wrong to assume that Carlisle's presence is not felt in nearly every single chapter.

The story switches almost every other chapter between the past and the present as we learn that Edward is a natural Dominant (thanks to his sadistic father, Carlisle) and that Bella is a natural submissive.  Edward is somewhat afraid of his dominance and learns, with Bella's help, that he can express that part of him without being abusive.   However, Carlisle doesn't see it that way.  Women are property to him and need to be controlled by any means necessary.  He is cruel and violent toward Esme, using a young Edward as a mechanism to keep her from leaving him.  Now that Edward is an adult, he reverses that notion, instead using Esme as a way to keep Edward from breaking away from the family.  He now expects Edward to treat Bella as a piece of property as well.  This is demonstrated in the very first chapter, where he demands that Edward force Bella to perform oral sex on him while Carlisle watches.

It would take far too long to list all of the obstacles that Bella and Edward encounter on their road to happiness, but the story is so extremely well-written that the chapters seem to fly by quickly.  When it comes to the final climax of the story, you care so much about the characters, that you can't help but cheer when justice is served.  However, their victory may be short-lived, as they realize that the damage Carlisle caused may be permanent.

I have really tried to find the words for this next Dark Carlisle rec, but unfortunately I am coming up short. The reason being is because I don't know how to explain it with out giving the plot away. I don't want to do that as I want you to discover the surprises for yourself. I myself, caught on fairly quickly because I am some what knowledgeable about the subject matter that EchosofTwilight has decided to approach in this fic, but even though I knew right off the bat where this fic was going with this, I still found it brilliant. 

Written for the "There will be Blood" contest, we have a very disturb Carlisle, thinking about the boy who should have been his son, and no, we are not talking about Edward. He wasn't even born yet. He then seeks out to destroy those that are responsible, even if they weren't responsible directly. It is their kind (you'll see what I mean you read it) he despises and with his long dead father as his muse, albeit kind of creepy, he helps show Carlisle who his next victim should be. 

I know I am not doing this remotely justice, but for those of you who are not familiar with direction we are taken, I am trying to be as vague as possible. 

KNOW THIS!!! 

It is a damn good read with a wicked Darkisle. You will not be disappointed and the twists this story takes, makes this so worthy of your time to try.

Today we are meeting up with SweetT129, author of many Carlisle fics, including some dark dominant Carlisle. Yum--meeeee!!!

So what is it about the dark side that appeals to you?

SweetT129:

 The idea of the characters being less fluffy and more deep is really interesting to me. I like the idea of them having another side, and it makes for a more unexpected plot, I think.

Izzy: 

What is it about Dark Carlisle that makes you swoon?

SweetT129:

 *laughs* Everything about Carlisle makes me swoon. He's always so perfect, and when I read him a bit tortured or dominating (oh my god, hotness!), it's like... "Wow. Where did HE come from??" I just love the idea of him having that side as well as the perfect exterior.

(note from Izzy, I have to agree there is something hot about perfect father figure Carlisle going all dark and dominant, but everything about Carlisle is hot)

What inspired you to write Fstop? With Carlisle's dominating hotness? (swoons and faints just thinking about it)

 OK, the inspiration for FStop came from mostly TwiCarol's request that I write a dark Carlisle, lol. But the specific idea for the model/photographer was when I was flipping through channels and saw some stupid reality show. The photographer was posing the model, and something he said sounded dirty. You know, because I'm a big perv and all, lol. (nods, trufax)

So the idea just formed in my mind that maybe he was being dirty on purpose. Thus, FStop.

I like Equal & Opposite a lot. It's E/J and really dark. Carlisle is a horrible man in it and I want to kill him the whole story. The sequel too, lol.

It is so hard to find good, well written Carlisle Fics, much less Darkisle stories. Cullen818 had some awesome rec's for us last week, and although I don't have many more myself this week, I do however have some awesome fics to share with you. So please, check back throughout the month to see what we all find. 

I want to start out this week with a One Shot written for the "Dr Jekyll and Mr. Cullen" contest. There are some awesome fics over there so run over and check the contest entries out if you didn't do so back when it was running. 

Sins of the Father

Summary: Written for the Jekyll and Cullen Contest - After a tragic car crash, Edward receives pioneering treatment in the care of renowned brain specialist, Dr. Carlisle Cullen. But, what is Dr. Cullen hiding and is Edward's nightmare just beginning?

This OS blew me away. The whole time I was reading it, I felt like there was something big in the picture I was missing. There was an overwhelming feeling of doom looming the further I read on, leaving me feeling anxious the entire time I was reading. 

At first glance Carlisle seems to be the celebrated surgeon that he is. He's basically spent his life on research that will change victims of severe brain injuries lives. His first patient using his research is none other than Edward Cullen, who just happens to be Carlisle's long lost love's only son. 

Carlisle does what he can to save Edward and succeeds in doing so. He takes care of Edward as he recovers, much to Edward's girlfriend Bella's relief and his mother Esme, but something isn't quite right about Edward. He has hellish nightmares of grizzly murders. Much to Edward's terror when he awakens, the murders are real. 

Edward grows more uneasy with every new murder, believing something is terribly wrong with him. He must figure out what darkness lies within him, and what the esteemed Dr. Cullen has to do with it. 

I don't want to give too much away, and I am sure as you've read this review that it looks more like a Darkward story, but I assure you, the twists and turns all the way through to the end made this a hands down Darkisle story. I was floored by the end of reading this OS at how wonderfully written it was and how brilliantly the story's plot unfolded. It was breathtaking. 

So, with that being said, trust me my little darklings and go read this OS. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT. It's a long OS, sitting at almost 12,000 words, but it will engross you from the very beginning. Now go, leave Eila some love for writing such a fascinating and chilling tale.

Summary -Bella is in love with Edward, but she's been having lustful thoughts about a certain blond vampire; the thoughts are making her feel incredibly guilty. Sometimes the guilt builds up, and all you can do is scream-in the arms of the one you desire...

This fic gives us a completely different take on Bella and Carlsile. Bella is with Edward, but she seems to be having some inappropriate feelings for Carlisle, but little does she know Carlisle reciprocates. Problem for Carlsile is, Edward can hear all of these inappropriate thoughts. Carlisle does his best to mask these feelings and he's riddled with guilt for harboring such thoughts.

This Bella is a bit OOC, in a good way, she stands up to Edward and his controlling ways and has decided that she's calling the shots when it comes to her life. It's interesting to read how she reacts to her developing feelings for Carlisle.

This is an interesting story and has a solid plot. The underlying tone of his tale takes on a forbidden nature. How far is too far? And, what happens when someone crosses the line? It doesn't just affect two people, but an entire family.The author updates on a regular basis too. So, stop by and don't forget to leave some love in the form of a review.

Picking the Brain of hopeforastalemate

Since we're talking about Carlisle this month, I figured we should hear from hopeforastalemate. She has two extremely dark and captivating fics featuring Darkisle. The first is Breaking and the second is the sequel, The Scarlet and the Gold. Both are extremely well written and portray Carlisle in an fascinating way. If you truely want to explore the darkest realms of this character, check these fics out. I'll do full reviews on them along with her oneshot The Arms of Darkness later this week.

Here's what she had to say when I asked her to explain the inner workings of the dark doctor...

Why Carlisle? What is it about this particular vampire that does it for you?

Carlisle and I are natured a great deal alike. I identify with him more than any of the other characters. He's quiet, reserved, repressed, and has an overwhelming need and drive to take care of other people. While I have no children myself, my career is one in which I take care of other people, and I find myself constantly seeking out opportunities to do that even when I am not working. He constantly puts others' needs before his own, to the point where he ignores himself, something which I do far too much for my own good. I understand him. It's always been suggested that you write what you know, and he is what I know.

 What makes him dark for you?

Carlisle is a dark character for me, though not dark in the same sense as the Volturi. Carlisle's darkness comes from repression. Any form of repression is inherently dark, as it represents something being held back from expression. Due to the time in which Carlisle was raised, his repression has become ingrained. He represses his natural instincts for human blood, for aggression, for passion, for the full expression of his emotions. As a result, he is exceedingly reserved. However, repression does not eliminate more savage tendencies, it simply restrains them. Given the right circumstances, it is absurdly easy for more primitive instincts to surface. That is the idea that I work with in my Carlisle stories

In Breaking and the Scarlet and the Gold, you tackled some pretty dark issues for Carlisle. How did you come up with some of those ideas?

When I was looking for ideas for the issues that Carlisle has to face, I had to look at Carlisle as a person. Who is he as a person? What is his personality? His upbringing? What issues would be the most direct and transformative challenge to that upbringing? In Breaking, those issues boil down to issues of control (what it means to take it and what it means to surrender it), vanity (learning to love yourself), and morality (addressing, either symbolically or literally, incest, homosexuality, polygamy, and the view of humans as a food source). Now, it isn't until The Scarlet and the Gold that we really see the fruit of Carlisle's transformation. Carlisle is a new man. He publicly claims Eleazar and the relationship they share. He dominates Aro and uses him in a fashion that he would never have before (and he does not regret it). He surrenders control to Edward and allows him to see him vulnerable, accepting comfort from him. He expresses his rage at the rogue vampire, leading to the awakening of his volatile power. After Eleazar and Aro bleed him, he accepts their comfort and support. When Carlisle makes his decision regarding human feeding, he is finally making a choice based, first and foremost, on the satisfaction of his own need. Carlisle has come to embrace himself both as a vampire and as a man, and he makes his final choice at the culmination of the story on the basis of that.

Any plans for a future fic with our featured dark vamp?

Yes, I will definitely be writing more Carlisle stories. Most of them will probably be dark. I am considering several right now. One possibility would involve Carlisle and an accident at work that would lead him into more blood temptation than he has ever faced. The premise of that story would be the old adage, "Pride goes before a fall." I can offer no guarantees right now, but I am continuing to write. Stay tuned.

Darkest Temptations Declares August Darkisle Month

Is there anything sexier than a Dark Carlisle? I think not, so this month we will be featuring the head of the Cullen clan in all his dark, sexy, dirty glory. He was entirely too refined and restrained in the original series, so let’s see what happens when he breaks character and takes what he wants!

When we think of Carlisle, we think of the compassionate, father figure to all those “foster” children. He loves and cherishes his mate Esme deeply, and would protect his family at any cost, but what happens when he gets a bit OCC? Particularly, when he starts lusting after a certain human?

I've highlighted a group of Carlisle o/s to help get my point across. In some he's human and in other’s he’s a vamp. He's dark, dirty and dominant, but I think if you were looking to find some fics that bring the good doctor out of his well refined realm and into the nasty, you should definitely check out some of these stories.

Vampire Carlisle…

He may start out reserved in some of these, but we all know his instinct has to kick in at some point. He's a bloodsucker after all.

Nightmare by Mrs. Ronald Weasley

Summary - While Edward is out hunting Bella has a vivid nightmare. Carlisle comforts her. Bella/Carlisle. DON'T LIKE? DON'T READ! Rating for sexual content. PART II ADDED!

This one is technically a two-shot, and I think part two was a much needed addition. I don't think you'll complain either. Bella and Carlisle are being awfully naughty in this fic. They find an extremely creative remedy to calm Bella after her nightmares. Let's just say that the good Doctor has all the answers. Lucky for Bella, her nightmares are recurring (wink)! This fic features a rather mild Dakisle, but we'll get a bit more grim as we go.

Carlisle's Return by our very own Jasper's Sex Kitten

Summary - WINNER of the "Write For The Other Team" O/S Contest **What happens when Carlisle comes back to Forks? Will Bella be happy to see him? Can he help her through her pain or is he a reminder of what she's lost?** Rated M for adult content and Language!

This isn't so much a dark fic as it is a steamy, break character fic. It's perfect if you haven't read a B/C pairing and you want to just dive right in. Bella can't stay away from the Cullen's abandon home, but she never expects to find him waiting there for her. What happens when clumsy Bella hurts herself and the sexy Dr. Cullen tends to more than just her physical injury? Hot lemon, that's what!

When Carlisle Gets Thirsty by IOnlyDateEmpaths

Summary - Entry for the Show Us Your Dark Side contest. When Carlisle leaves hunting too long and Bella needs medical attention, he might prove that his control isn't as good as everybody thinks... VERY OOC.

This story is perfect if you want to see what happens when Carlisle loses control. It makes perfect sense that a vampire would cross the line and want the blood of his patient. I don't care how reserved he is. This is one of those fics that I wish would be continued because there's much more here to explore.

Midnight Refreshment by Edward's Little Temptress

Summary-  Left alone in the Cullen's house when almost all the family is hunting, a highly frustrated Bella stops by the kitchen for a midnight refreshment to quench her thirst. Little does she know that another one of her cravings is about to get taken care of as well.

 

This has to be by far the dirtiest, kinkiest one shot I've ever read. But, I mean that in a really good way.  I have to warn you that the sex in this fic is graphic and well, just really raunchy.  I personally don't have a problem with that, but I'm just warning you before you read it.

 

Want to talk about an OOC Carlisle? This fic has it all. If you're looking for a polite, romantic lover, this one ain't it, but if you want sexy, filthy and chilling dark then go for it. Here's an example...

 

"You look so innocent, sweet, beautiful Bella… but in reality you're just a dirty little slut who dreams of getting fucked hard and fast, aren't you?" he purred nearly in her ear, making her blush ten shades of red before his apparently very satisfied eyes.

"How dare you?" she gritted between clenched teeth as this time she did try to push him away, one thought only running through her mind, getting out of there before she said or did something that she would regret later. Like telling him to go to hell, or threatening him to tell everything to Edward once he would have come back and begging him to defend her and to really hurt the man he considered as a father. "Carlisle! Get away from me!"

"Not so fast…" he growled as he pushed her right back where she had been and Bella's heart rate increased when she realized that he had let go of the soda he had still been pressing to her skin mere seconds ago while he was talking, and that she could now feel his own bare, cold, hands against her thighs. "You can deny it all you want, but I've lived long enough to know all about the kind of girl you are, trust me!"

"You don't know anything about me!" she retorted angrily now, caught between the need to flee and the need just as strong to inflict him pain for what he was saying to her.

"I know you've been trying to seduce my son for months now… begging for him to take your precious virginity… that's it… if you really are a virgin of course… because the way you behave, one could wonder…" he answered almost mockingly, and this time, not even thinking about the consequences or the fact that she would probably only hurt herself in the long run, her hand shot up all too ready to slap him for his crudeness.

"You son of a…" she cried out, but before her hand could connect with his cheek and faster than her human eyes could perceive, he had her wrist in a strong grip and stopped her for doing any harm.

"Careful… you wouldn't want to hurt yourself now, would you?" he tsked mockingly, the words earning him a hateful glare as Bella tried to disengage her hand from his hard hold.

"Let me go…" Bella grunted as she struggled against him, but to no avail. He was a vampire for god's sake and he was way stronger than she could be herself, even despite the rage she was feeling at that instant.

"Why should I?" he asked her and Bella felt herself shuddering once more as she spotted his smirk.

"What the hell is wrong with you? Why… why are you doing this?" she demanded, still not understanding what was happening here.

Carlisle had always been so nice with her, treating her like a daughter, being there for her whenever she or Edward had needed her, and now he was acting like a lunatic, out for her blood.

She didn't even know what he was doing there, since Edward had told her that he would be working all night and would probably not be back before the next morning, but apparently, as much as she could lament it herself, there had been a change of plan.

"Hmm… I don't know… maybe I'm just tired of hearing Edward complaining about how much harder it's getting every day to stay away from you when you obviously want him to be really close… how he fears he will lose you if he doesn't give in and yet at the same time he can't bring himself to do it because he's just too scared he would hurt you, or worse, kill you if he just let go and fucked you!" he revealed, still holding on too hard to Bella for her comfort.

See what I mean? This is a massive o/s, clocking in at over 25, 000 words and there is a poll on the author's profile page about a sequel. That intrigues me!

Human Carlisle...

I like when he's written in this form, especially when he's flawed. The following o/s portray a man who has some dark and unadulterated desires.  Let's see what happens when they're unleashed.

Summary - Bella falls pregnant with her boss' child, a man old enough to be her father. He treats her differently after finding out about the pregnancy. He isn't the wonderful man she always thought he was. AH. AU. Contains MA content.

This is one of my fave oneshots of all time.It's not a Bella/Carlisle pairing, but it does feature a not so nice Carlisle. He does something dark and cruel in this fic and that's why I think it made it into this post. Bella ends up pregnant with Carlisle's child. Unfortunately, he's married with two grown children and isn't looking for a new young wife and child. Can a baby change all of that, or will Bella have to do this on her own? This is a completely different portrayal of the Carlisle we've all come to love and respect. You'll need to read to find out what happens, but you'll be glad you did. There might be a special surprise at the end of this story especially for all of the readers that follow my fics. (wink)

I usually like when my Cullen's are vamps, but there's something about a sexy, hot, dirty human Carlisle that does it for me. This fic was a o/s, but the author decided to reward us with an additional chapter.

Bella loves Edward, but he is carrying around some extra baggage and won't fully commit. What's a girl to do? Carlisle has some ideas. The lemons are hot, and I don't think you'll be blaming Bella at all. If you're in the mood for a quick Carlisle fix, this story is perfect and quite naughty.
