And here we are again, for another Judges Pick for the Death by Darksper contest. 

We have two more days of goodies for you and hope you come back to see the stories we have left this week. 

So, my pick was for Musings of a Deranged Mind by EmraePenne.

Here are my thoughts on this awesome OS. 

Musings of a Deranged Mind

A journal, a memoir, a look into the depths of a
deranged mind. Jasper's mind is a dark place full of hate and death;
and that's when he's alone, when the voices come out to play...no one
is safe.

I know, first off, it's a Jasper/Alice. Yeah, big no no for me, but every single one of the Jasper/Alice stories entered here were beyond wonderful. That's saying a lot coming from me, and this OS was no exception. It is very very dark and not just that, it's disturbing. It's not for the faint of heart and if you have a weak stomach, it's not for you. I on the other hand, hung to every word. 

I was instantly intrigued by this story as it is written as several journal entries from Jasper's mind. He is human and obviously insane, so much so it sent chills up my spine to think of just how fucked up he really is. Hearing voices inside of his head, telling him to do very very bad things to people, he kills his doctor from where he is being held and her staff, escaping into the free world. 

He is intrigued by a file of a young girl named Alice, whose file he got a peak of before he killed his doctor, and goes to her rescue. After he rescues her from her own locked up hell, she turns out to be just as fucked up as he is, which makes it all too awesome. At least it's not just him and his crazy ass voices in his head. 

They travel around killing and just being psychotic which is frightening to think about real people in the world like these two. *shivers* They soon find themselves in Port Angeles, in the company of a young couple and Jasper remembers his time killing his doctor and her staff. 

I fear for them at this point, because we all know they are going to die, but there is an awesome twist to their death that makes you want to look at your neighbors a little closer. 

I don't want to spoil it with anymore than I already have, but I have to say that my favorite part of this fic was when he thought back to what he did to his doctor and her staff. Yeah, I keep coming back to that, because distrubingly, it had me laughing and cringing at the same time. The way he strings up the people, decorating the place with their body parts and thinking it looked like Christmas... I about lost it.

So I want to say, Good Job to you EmraePenne for this awesome and dark OS, and to you dear readers, please give it a try. It was amazing.
