Wow, it feels like so long since I've done this. I've missed rec'ing stories over here, and luckily it's my week. WOOT!

I haven't had a lot of time to read much lately with the TwiWrite and the 5 gazillion fics I have going on. *headdesk* But I was able to find some down time a couple of days ago (mainly during nap time for the little one and insomnia induced reading) to scope out some stories I've been meaning to read on the site. This is one of them.

Summary: When Edward begins abusing his girlfriend Bella Swan, both physically and emotionally, how far will his brother Jasper go to save her?

This is a Darkward Jasper/Bella story. You can probably got that by the summary, though. The first chapter reeled me in with JPOV and how he sees Bella as broken, hence the title. Once you begin to read the hell this poor girl goes through at the hands of Edward, you realize just why she's broken. 

Edward, for lack of a better word, is a complete DICK! Although, I believe this word sums it up nicely. *nods* Now, I don't mean he's just an asshole, no, I mean he abuses Bella in the worst possible way. It's disgusting what he puts her through. I don't see how she can take much more, and as the chapters continue on, you can see her hope, will, determination deteriorate as she sees herself as alone in all this. 

The author gives us flashbacks to happier times as we go, showing us that things weren't always this way. We have to wonder what happened to make Edward turn from devoted, love sick boyfriend, to this evil monster who beats this poor girl over nothing. The answer is revealed a little later into the fic and we get an idea of what the turn around was. 

Honestly, I can see why Edward would be so upset, because Bella does something she shouldn't have, *although who wouldn't in her situation, you'll see what I mean*, and his change of attitude towards her makes complete sense. That doesn't give him the right to beat the shit out of her at every turn and treat her like a whore, it just gives you an idea of what made his monster come out and visit. 

We also have Jasper, who is Edward's very jealous brother. He fell in love with Bella at first site and sparks seemed to fly between them, but she's with Edward and he's a jealous asshole too, so nothing can come of that. Doesn't mean she doesn't think about Jasper, though, and after realizing that no one is going to help her out of this crazy relationship with Edward, Jasper might be her only hope of leaving. 

This story is 11 chapters plus a prologue in, and it is really good so far. The author does a good job of showing the emotions that Bella is going through and giving us the flashbacks to explain how shit got so fucked up along the way. Please give it a chance and leave her some love. This story has one really fucked up Darkward, but it looks like Jasper might come and save the day. WoooHoo.
