Christmas With the Crazies Contest
From the wicked minds of the Darkest Temptations we bring you another seriously twisted Christmas contest.
Last year, we brought you the Nightmare before Christmas Contest. This year, we want something as equally disturbing.
We're not just looking for dark and twisted characters... We want them insane, unstable, crazy, psychotic. We want your craziest Cullen's. Residents of the insane Asylum, the twisted doctors who work there, or those who should be locked away, but roam free in society to do their twisted bidding on the world. Mentalward, Hacksaw Jasper, Mad Scientist Carlisle, Body Part Collecting Esme. We don't care how you do it, but we want them crazy!
So, here's what we want:
Please read ALL the rules before entering. These are important. If you break them, we will send Crazysper and Twitchella to your house to remove your toenails.
1. A Twilight character must be included as the central character (human or vamp) and they should be dark. Absolutely no fluff in this one. Canon, non-canon pairings and slash are acceptable.
2. Your One Shot must be Christmas themed. We want it to happen around the holidays, so please include Christmas time/themes somewhere in your story. It wouldn't be a holiday contest if it didn't.
3. Length must be 2500+ words with no max limit.
4. Lemons are not mandatory, but acceptable. We'd also like to see a strong plot. Seriously, we don't want stories with smut just because it brings on the smexy. We are looking for twisted, not hot, but we'll accept it "if" it goes with the storyline. Don't throw it in just for the sake of having a lemon. Mkay? Trust, we're pervs too, but we like a storyline with it.
5. Collabs are welcome.
6. Enter as many times as you'd like.
7. 18 and up only - if you are under 18, you may not enter. Sorry!
8. Use your best grammar and punctuation; it will be screened for entry. We want your fic to have the best possible chance. If we feel your grammar is not up to par, we will return it to you to rework. We're not grammar Nazi's, and know that people make mistakes, but too many will require it to be reworked.
9. You may extend your story (and we'd love to see that), but please wait until the contest is over. The One Shots must stay a One shot until after the winners are announced.
10. Your story must be a new o/s developed for this contest. It can not have been previously posted anywhere. If we find that it has been, we will disqualify it immediately. We want all new material.
11. Entries can only be posted to your account on twiwrite.net until after the winners are announced. If we are in voting and your fic goes up somewhere else, we will disqualify it. That's not fair to everyone else. We might be dark minions, but we like to be considerate.
12. Anything goes here. We don't care what you do with it, and be as dark and twisted as you like (we strongly encourage it, because there are no weak stomachs here). However, your story must follow the posting guidelines and TOS for TwiWrite.
Important Contest Dates:
Entries will be accepted starting October 13, 2011 with a deadline of December 1, 2011, 11:59 Eastern Time.
Voting begins December 2nd and ends December 9th with winners announced on December 11th, 2011.
